Pipeline Route Selection

Mobil Producing Nigeria (MPN) considered replacing the existing Yoho YP to a Floating Production Storage Offloading (FPSO) pipeline.

To inform this consideration, CARES Group was engaged by DeltaAfrik / MPN to carry out geophysical and geotechnical surveys along the pipeline route.

These surveys were conducted to determine the soil parameters for the pipeline route selection. A Multibeam Echo Sounder (MBES) was deployed for bathymetry and sea floor mapping.

CARES Group determined the soil parameters for the pipeline route selection and the results are due to be analysed and used during the detailed design phase.
