
Development of the Liberia inland
and Distribution Facility
Liberia Inland Storage and Distribution Services Inc (LISDS) commissioned CARES to provide consultancy and project management support for the development of an Inland Storage Facility in Monrovia, Liberia complete with a solar PV system for power generation to the facility.
The Inland Storage Facility (ISF) was conceived as a strategic response to the limited storage, distribution, and logistics infrastructure within the Manu River Union (MRU) for the commodity import-dependent Liberia.
EPC 1
EPC 1 is a design and build model of contract that includes the development of general warehousing, with some limited temperature-controlled ambient storage and cold storage facilities.
For this Phase, CARES was appointed at the tender stage to assist in contractor selection as well as
supervision and overall contract administration during the implementation stage of the project as the Owners’ Engineer.
EPC 2
EPC 2 includes the design and procurement of the racking system and cargo handling equipment (CHE) for the general operations of the warehouse. For this Phase, CARES was appointed to assist in contractor selection as well as supervision of the installation and commissioning of the equipment for the project.
