Health, Safety and Environmental Audit of NPA-PTI Facility

The NPA-PTI Simulator facility houses a Full Mission Bridge Simulator (FMBS) and is set up to receive and train various delegates throughout the year.

CARES was commissioned to conduct a HSE audit of the NPA-PTI site to assess the working conditions of the facility ensuring that all employees conduct their duties in a safe and healthy environment and the facility remains safe for visitors and training delegates. The audit covered the main building and the recently acquired Computer Based Training (CBT) building, which is not yet in use and is supposed to undergo some renovations before its commissioning. The audit was conducted through a combination of questioning, interviews, consultations and visual observations by the CARES Audit team.

The audit also included a thorough site assessment to identify any occupational health and safety risks and environmental issues. On completion of the audit, a detailed audit report was submitted to the NPA-PTI with findings and recommendations for continual improvement.

Quarterly audits will also be conducted to follow up with implementation of recommendations as well as identify any further risks to health and safety
