Project Management Support Services
The Kano State Government, through the Federal Government of Nigeria and with funds from Agence Française de Développement (AFD), is implementing the Kano State Water Project under the III-NUWSRP.

The Kano State Water Board is responsible for rehabilitation and expansion of water supply infrastructure, including water intake, production and distribution facilities and improvements to water sector governance, institutional strengthening and human capital development to provide for improvements in service provision and to make water supply services in the state more sustainable. The Consultant team is supporting the water board in the management of the Project.

Services Provided Included:

• Development of Terms of Reference and procurement of services for KSWB, as follows:

• Institutional Technical Assistance (ITA)

• Organizational Technical Assistance (OTA)

• Detailed Engineering Design (DED)

• Independent Financial Auditor.

• Sub-consultant to WNL Development Solutions Ltd, providing key staff, including:

• Water Supply Technical and Infrastructure Expert

• Environmental and Social Expert

• Water Resources Engineering Advisor

• Scoping, tendering, evaluation, award, and monitoring of performance-based service consultancies and capacity building, with emphasis on the detailed engineering and construction supervision of the works for the improvement of water production and distribution systems.

• Assisting the KSWB to ensure that all project activities are in compliance with World Bank and/or AFD environmental and social safeguard policies.

• Supporting the procurement of Project Management Software.

• Assessing the gaps in capacity, preparing training materials and delivering a capacity building programme.
