To enable Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) topside fabrication and integration a 120,000m3 fabrication yard and quay wall are being constructed at the LADOL Free Zone.
To support this development CARES Group has been assigned to carry out an Environmental & Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) on behalf of SHI-MCI Free Zone Enterprise.
The ESIA is being conducted to assess the potential impacts of the project and has been carried out in line with the Environmental Impact Assessment Act 86 1992.
During the ESIA CARES Group has determined the Environmental and Social Baseline through specialist fieldwork and data analysis. Against this baseline the likely effects of the project have been identified, predicted and evaluated.
The ESIA has also presented measures to prevent, mitigate and/or offset the significant adverse effects within an Environmental Management Plan (EMP).
The EMP provides a structured programme for the management of the works to ensure that all reasonable and practical measures will be implemented to prevent and/or minimise the likelihood of environmental harm being caused by the project.
