Adaptation to Climate Change

Main Banner

Climate change in Ghana can be observed through temperature rise, declining rainfall totals and high
incidence of climate extreme events, and the country is vulnerable to the impacts of climate change
through its exposure to droughts, floods, and sea level rise, combined with sensitive socio-economic
sectors and a low level of preparedness. Agriculture is among the sectors most exposed to climate change, since production depends on water availability and suitable climatic conditions.
The main objective of the assignment is to ensure continuous access to high quality wholesome water
for agriculture use throughout the year in a changing climate, through sustainable use of rainwater
harvesting.
