CARES engineers have provided expertise on numerous projects for the minerals and mining industry, ranging from the design of tailings dams and associated environmental studies to due diligence reports. Our involvement in projects has been throughout the world, working in varying climatic conditions, ranging from Zambia, to most recently, a forensic investigation into a dam failure in Siberia, Russia.

CARES engineers have extensive experience in the investigation, design, operations optimization, remediation and closure of tailings dams throughout the world. This experience has been gained on the design and construction of all types of tailings impoundments. CARES engineers can carry out environment impacts studies legislation compliance and due diligence for water storage dams, waste dump stability and open pit stability.
