To assess the short and long term viability of dredging and to ensure correct choice, both
technically and economically, of the dredger it is essential to conduct seabed geotechnical and
bathymetric surveys. This is often perceived as a large proportion of the design budget and
experience is required to minimise cost without compromising on quality data collection.
CARES have an enviable track record in surveys of this nature and are able to provide the
engineering expertise to conduct the follow-up analysis and recommendations.
